The chair of the Oakhill Residents Association has arranged for Councillor Eber Kington from Epsom & Ewell, and Councillor Ruth Lyon from Elmbridge to come and talk to their Association on Monday June 18th 2012, at 8 p.m. at the Baptist Church, 6 Langley Road, Surbiton.
Both have experience of being in a majority group on a Council and also of being minority members. Eber Kington, as well as being a Borough Councillor in a majority group at Epsom & Ewell, is also in a minority group on Surrey County Council.
Robert Lewis has kindly invited us and any members of our Association to come and listen, and ask any questions.
We should then be in a good position to discuss further the possibility of working together in putting up Residents’ Association candidates at the next Borough elections.
